1. Entry requirements
The standard academic requirement for entry into a Masters by coursework programme for an Indian student is a Bachelors degree with a minimum second class division i.e. 55%. Certain programmes may demand higher scores.
English language requirements: the applicant must have achieved a minimum score of 6.5 in the IELTS Academic test, or its equivalent in TOEFL, PTE, or Cambridge English. Certain programmes may require higher scores.
2. Costs and Funding
The annual tuition fee for a Masters Degree or graduate diploma programme averages at 27-30000 AUD.
Scholarships: there are a number of scholarships available for international students, including some specifically for Indian students – the VU Dean’s Scholarship is offered to commencing students from India, with an award of 3000-6000 AUD per year towards tuition fees. Eligibility is a minimum 55% score in a Bachelors degree with additional merit-based criteria; to achieve the full award the student must achieve at least 70% at the end of the first year. Indian students are automatically assessed for this scholarship when they apply.
