Who is eligible to apply for a scholarship?

Every scholarship has its own eligibility criteria. While others may require a simple application, others may require several conditions to be fulfilled. For instance, research-centric programs may require the submission of written assignments as well.

Certain private organizations offer scholarships for women in order to support and encourage them to pursue their careers. The other scholarship offered is the International Student Scholarship that can be obtained for that coveted overseas stint study abroad.

What amount of money is available through scholarships?

Scholarships offered in the IELTS UK usually cover about 30% to 50% of the tuition fee. The amount of money available and the type of award varies from institution to institution. Certain research programs may provide up to 100% of the tuition fee besides covering a part of your living expenses as well. Government scholarships are sought-after more than university scholarships. Ideally, students should begin the process of applying for a scholarship 8-12 months before the start of their preferred intake begins.

3 GREAT Scholarship Awarded by the British Council, this is a full tuition scholarship awarded to students applying to undergraduate and graduate programs with demonstrated academic excellence and leadership skills. Students with this award will be future ambassadors of ‘Study in the UK’ campaign.
4 Scotland Saltire Scholarships The initiative awards 50 students for one-year full-time graduation program in the field of science, healthcare, technology and creative industries and renewable and clean energy.
5 Goa Education Trust Scholarships In collaboration with British Council, this scholarship is awarded to students (under the age of 30) applying for one-year master’s degree in the UK.
6 Charles Wallace India Trust scholarships CWIT enables Indians in the early to mid stages of their careers to spend time in the UK, helping them to achieve artistic, academic and professional ambitions and to broaden their international contacts.
7 Oxford India Centre Scholarship The Centre provides funding for talented Indian graduate students who would otherwise not be able to take up their places at Oxford.
8 Education Grants by Tata Trusts The Tata Trusts support deserving students and researchers in their quest for knowledge through initiatives such as research scholarships, loans, and travel grants.
9 Inlaks Scholarships Inlaks Scholarships provide the opportunity to young people with exceptional talent in any field to broaden their horizons and improve their skills to operate in society, thus making them a future vehicle of change in their communities. The scholarships are of two types: university courses and specific programs.
