There are a number of scholarships applicable to PG courses for international students – some of which are exclusively for Indian students!

THESE ARE A HANDFUL OF EVERYTHING THAT WE CAN HELP YOU AVAIL OF:

• Australia Awards:

Masters-level awards offered by the Government of Australia, to graduates from selected high-performing Indian institutions, on nomination basis. It covers return flight-ticket, establishment allowance, tuition fees, health insurance, part of living expenses, and the Introductory Academic Program.

• Destination Australia:

Also awarded by the Australian Government, offered to students studying in universities in places designated Regional Australia, at any level of tertiary education. The award is worth 15000 AUD toward the cost of study and living.

• Macquarie University India Scholarship:

It involves an award of 10,000 AUD per annum, toward tuition fee, for every Indian student who is successfully admitted and enrols into an undergraduate or postgraduate programme. The two main eligibility criteria are – to meet the requirements of the programme, and to be a registered citizen of India.

• UQ’s India Global Leaders Scholarship:

The programme is for high-achieving Indian students to further their studies under the faculties of Business and Economics, and Law. The scholarship award ranges from 5000-20000 AUD, based on academic excellence of the applicant, and also includes membership in the UQ Global Leaders community, with exclusive access to various career-building activities.

• Future Leaders Scholarship by RMIT:

It is automatically awarded to Indian students who study in RMIT, in most degree programmes (barring certain exceptions). It carries a 20% reduction in tuition fees for the duration of the programme, subject to the awardee maintaining sufficient academic progress.

• International student scholarship by University of Adelaide:

International students are automatically considered for these, and they are awarded on the basis of merit – including the Global Citizens Scholarship with a 15-30% reduction in tuition fee, and the Global Academic Excellence with a 50% reduction.

• Monash International Merit Scholarship:

It is awarded to 31 students enrolled at Monash per year, at any level of degree study. It is valued at 10000 AUD per annum, with a maximum total of 50000 AUD over the candidate’s course of study.

• La Trobe College Excellence Scholarship:

It is awarded to meritorious international students, enrolled in certain selected courses. It involves a reduction in annual tuition fee of 15-25% for the duration of studies. Applicants to eligible courses are automatically considered for the scholarship.

• ANU Diversity Scholarship:

It offers 150 awards of 25000 AUD per annum for international citizens of its targeted countries – including India. The scholarship covers a study period of 2 years. All eligible applicants are automatically considered for this scholarship, which is awarded based on academic merit.
